The Centre for Assessment & Evaluation proudly presents a webinar series by our very own evaluation visiting consultant, Senior Research Fellow Dr Jeanne Century from the University of Chicago and Founder of Insider Consulting.
Understanding the extent to which
educational innovations are implemented is an essential part of understanding
the true impacts that an innovation has on learners. Research often fails to:
a) systematically measure of the parts of the innovation that are actually
happening; b)
explore the extent to which students actually engage with
the innovation; and c) analyze the parts of the innovation that are most
effective. This first webinar will introduce a framework for organizing educational
innovations into measurable components and provide examples of studies that
used this framework to better understand implementation. It will also
demonstrate how analyses of implementation can help educators understand the
parts of an innovation that are most effective for particular
student
audiences.
