This lecture will explore how the Jubilee Centre was established and the policies adopted. It will introduce the Jubilee Centre Framework for schools. In creating and establishing the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, we set out to undertake rigorous academic research; to discover new insights in the research outcomes, and begin to bring about change in terms of impact on policy, practitioners and the academy. We recognised early on that the worlds of the researcher, practitioner and policy maker need not be three different worlds, but can interact with one another for mutual benefit. From the very beginning, the Centre focused on relationship-building with decision makers within the academy, government, business and civil society. This lecture will explore these themes.
