In the teaching of organic chemistry, Dr Teo Yong Chua develops both VR and AR pedagogical tools to help students better visualize the molecules in 3D configurations and thus relate the 2D drawings used in textbooks to their molecular structures. The real-time visualization of molecular structures and the ability to participate fully in an interactive virtual environment would enable learners to have a better grasp of the concepts, hence retaining their learning better.
